Louise Gallop (Bauer)

Bauer, Louise E. age 67. On Aug 17, 2017 her 5 month battle against the big "C" was lost and the spirit born on October 20, 1949 now joins her parents Marion (nee Hansen) and Lewis Gallop of Muskegon with many relatives. The youngest of 3 three, she is survived brothers and families: Lewis Jr of Petoskey and Stanley of Jamestown, New York . Behind , but joined by her husband of 48 years, Michael are daughters Danielle with grandchildren Jasuynn and Janelle. Louise allowed us to help her fulfill a life devoted to family, work and home. We built a house and she a home for us with friends, neighbors and associates in Oakland County. Card club, book collecting, garage sales and vegetable/flower gardens filled her spare time after keeping up with all her many talents and housekeeping. She filled every space of our home with love. Her over 30 years serving the health care industry, as a medical lab tech with a Pontiac hospital and Oxford clinic, they were her real rewards and life fulfilling endeavors. May God reward all her kindness she showed to all she knew. Let us all pray and war against the ugly wasting thing that grows silently inside us. May a way be found to banish its wastefullness and cancer becomes just a memory. Arrangements entrusted to HUNTOON FUNERAL HOME - PONTIAC

Louise and I were best friends form 10th grade on. we used to take family vacations together when our kids were younger. I used to tease her about her obsession with her huge garden; I wondered if she was trying to feed a small country. It was relaxing and a peaceful respite for her. She liked to experiment with different kinds of fruit trees and garden plants. We hadn't seen much of each othe over the past few years, but were in contact during these last months. She was a sweet and gentle person and sorely missed by those who knew her well. May God give her quiet rest and peace, and may He comfort and give strength to her family and friends.

I remember Louise as always smiling, she had an infectious laugh and loved being around people.  I had the pleasure of being in Louise and Mike's wedding and her laugh and sense of humor were even present during the ceremony.  Peggy helped us reconnect during her last months, for which I am grateful.  Thanks, Peg.  Louise fought a courageous battle. She will be missed.
