May her soul rest in a place where there is no grief, no pain, no sighing, but ever lasting life.

Julie was one of my very best friends, and she had sent me a wonderful memory-filled email at Christmas. I didn't realize her ALS had progressed so quickly to this point. She was a huge part of my school and band memories beginning when she moved from Illinois to Muskegon in 5th grade, and I met her at Angell School. I was so impressed that she was already playing a clarinet so well, and that influenced my choice of a clarinet when I started band. She certainly surpassed me!! She will be greatly missed, and I will cherish all the memories. ❤Chuck Freye
Julie was truly a bright spark . We were in a couple of plays together [remember "Harvey " starring Richard Craig ?] Besides her many other talents she was pretty tough . Julie and I spent the summer of '67 as seasonal postal workers . One day she asked me if I had a spare shirt . She had been bit by a dog and torn her jeans in a place that needed cover , but she finished her shift , then went to see the doctor . Bye Julie

I didn't know Julie well but do remember she had such a sweet face and temperment. RIP Julie.
