Lived in Brighton, Michigan- born Nov. 24, 1949 to Joseph John and Stella (Czekuc) Szmadzinski. He was an accomplished varsity athlete and talented musician at Muskegon HS. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War as a translator and intelligence analyst. Survived by two sons: Joseph James (28) and Corey Lee (24); and loving ex-wife Pamela & his four brothers: John, Jerome, Jacob, and James. Visitation for Joseph will be held at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop-Sassaman Chapel, 19091 Northville Road, Northville, Michigan on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
