Wierengo, Charles A. Muskegon Charles A. Wierengo, age 66, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born on May 21, 1949 to Frederick and Dorothy (Dykema) Wierengo in Muskegon. On May 20, 1972 he married the former Marilyn Sandgren and they spent 43 happy years together. Charles was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at his cabin up north. Hockey was a passion in life for Charles; both watching the Red wings play and coaching the Mona Shores JV hockey team. He was a true adventurer of life. His greatest passion in life was his children and grandchildren and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Jeff (Kelley Allard) Wierengo, JoAnn (Dave) Hoffman; grandchildren, Alex, Avery, Wade; brother, Don (Val) Wierengo; sisters, Barb (Don) Johnson, Jan (Brian) Sterm; close nephew, John Waldo and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A MEMORIAL VISITATION for Charles will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
